DRC: Fraudulent Election of the President of the Constitutional Court
Judges terrorized and pressured by Félix Tshisekedi to impose Kamuleta

On Tuesday, July 8, the Constitutional Court of the Democratic Republic of Congo held the election of its President. Although the National Council of Congolese Resistance (CNRC) pays little attention to the outcomes of a collaborationist regime that we do not recognize, this recent election drew our attention. Based on information we received from concerned Congolese within the country, we feel it is necessary to once again alert the Congolese people and friends of the Congo to the danger posed by Félix Tshisekedi and his supporters seeking to keep him in power.
While public attention in the DRC and even internationally is focused on the US-led peace agreement and the hope of ending the war, Félix Tshisekedi and his allies have already begun scheming to stay in power beyond 2028.
Judges terrorized…

According to reports about this election—initially scheduled for June 20—Félix Tshisekedi, son of Étienne Tshisekedi, remains true to form: untrustworthy and a promoter of anti-values at the head of the occupied and democratizing Congo.
Our domestic sources revealed the behind-the-scenes details of the electoral fraud orchestrated by Tshisekedi and his operatives to impose Judge Kamuleta, his chosen candidate, as President of the Constitutional Court.
Obsessed with holding onto power indefinitely, Tshisekedi allegedly forced judges to break the law through threats and bribery. He relied on his Rwandan Chief of Staff, Mr. Antony Nkinzo, and his corrupt Special Advisor, Mr. Eberande Kolongele.

Reportedly, Kolongele personally contacted several judges to intimidate them and prevent eligible candidates from running. An unprecedented act.
As for Antony Nkinzo, the week before the vote, he summoned the judges to the Presidency to deliver Tshisekedi’s clear and firm message: « The Chief demands continuity. » In other words, nothing should disrupt the presidency’s choice—regardless of irregularities.
According to Congolese law, “Judges of the Constitutional Court are appointed for a non-renewable term of nine years,” and Article 9 of Organic Law No. 13/026 of October 15, 2013, states that “The President of the Constitutional Court is elected for a term of three years, renewable once.”
However, all legal experts we consulted agree: Kamuleta was not eligible to serve a new term as Court President, since his mandate as judge ends in less than three years—April 2027—making a term ending in 2028 legally impossible.

We also learned that six judges actually submitted blank votes (not three as officially claimed), signaling a clear rejection of Kamuleta despite presidential pressure.
Sources in Kinshasa, including lawyers and magistrates, denounced multiple legal breaches in this mafia-style appointment of Kamuleta to head the very institution meant to uphold the law.
One legal expert told us: “They trampled all the rules. Here is a Constitutional Court already irregularly constituted, persisting in its irregularities.” Another added, “No one here speaks the law anymore. They just say ‘Amen.’ There’s no more debate.”
Call to Action
The CNRC calls on the Congolese people to take seriously the implications of Félix Tshisekedi’s repeated mafia-like behavior. This occurs as several of his associates face allegations of financial misconduct, and as Tshisekedi—an illegitimate president—seeks to appear respectable before the Americans with whom he has solicited a so-called strategic partnership.
Are the United States becoming guarantors of Tshisekedi’s fraud and misdeeds in the DRC? The question must be asked.
For those of us who never recognized this illegitimate government—an outcome of a decades-old occupation regime—and who have long warned alongside the late Honoré Ngbanda about Tshisekedi’s duplicity, none of this is surprising.
However, continued complaints about these repeated irregularities will solve nothing. The occupied Congo only spirals from one illegality to another.

This is why the CNRC urges every Congolese citizen to understand that despite the illusion offered by the US-backed peace deal, unless the Congolese take charge and remove those holding the institutions hostage, the country is heading toward a brutal dictatorship rife with nepotism and tribalism. The people will be left with only tears if they fail to act.
Despite alleged US pressure on this faithless and lawless government, this new electoral fraud proves again that nothing can be expected from Félix Tshisekedi or his collaborationist regime, who belong in prison, not in power. Supporting such criminals is a disgrace. Why should the Congolese people continue to be persecuted by individuals they never even elected?
After sabotaging the army, ruining diplomacy with his pathetic “begging strategy,” selling off resources and sovereignty in exchange for a meaningless peace, and looting state coffers for personal and family gain, Tshisekedi—emboldened by his supposed proximity to the US government—now commits a repugnant electoral fraud to cling to power past 2028.
While some analysts and media outlets claim the Washington Agreement will put the country back on track by making the government respect national laws, this event proves it is all a delusion.
Furthermore, Tshisekedi’s history of betrayal, and his collaboration with Kigali, should compel the Congolese to draw the right conclusions: As long as Tshisekedi, his mafia ring, and their Rwandan allies remain in power, anyone partnering with them is likely working against Congolese interests.
It is up to the people of Congo to take responsibility and end these betrayals. The CNRC and all true Congolese resistance fighters will not back down. Ingeta!
